LightBox converts videos and images into WebP, animated WebP, WebM, AVIF, and frame sequences. The core converter is free — anonymous, no signup, no watermark. An optional one-time Pro upgrade adds bigger uploads, unlimited daily conversions, batch conversion, saved presets, a permanent library, priority processing, AVIF output (from images and video), a lossless/max-quality mode, and hosted sharing. We provide the service on a best-effort basis and may add, change, or remove features over time.

You keep all rights to the files you upload and the files you convert — we don't claim any ownership over them. You give us only the limited, temporary permission needed to store your file, convert it, and deliver the result back to you. Files are deleted automatically as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload and convert each file.

Please use LightBox lawfully. Don't upload content you don't have the rights to, anything illegal, or material that is abusive, infringing, or harmful — for example malware, or any sexual content involving minors.

Don't try to overload, abuse, scrape, or bypass the limits and protections of the service, and don't use it to break the law. We may rate-limit, block, or remove content and access to keep the service safe for everyone.

If you create an account, keep your password secure and don't share your login. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

We work to keep LightBox up and fast, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Conversions and stored files may occasionally fail or be lost, so keep your own copies of anything important. We may suspend or discontinue the service, or any feature, at any time.

LightBox is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't promise that conversions will be perfect, that the service will always be available, or that it will meet every need.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, LightBox and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, files, or profits, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service. Always keep a backup of your original files.

Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks the paid features above for the lifetime of the account. Payments are processed securely by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record, who handle your billing and receipt.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will update the date at the top, and your continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
